Are there any costs other than the mantel?
Yes, there is a shipping and handling charge of approximately $250. 

Who installs the fireplace mantel?
Most mantels can be installed with minimal effort by an average handy homeowner, or you can hire a local stone mason, if you prefer.

How is the fireplace mantel installed?
Mantels arrive in separate pieces and are anchored to the wall and attached with an industrial adhesive, like "Liquid Nails". Detailed instructions are provided at time of purchase.

Is there a finish required?
No. The Cast Stone finish does not require any sealer, and the Polished products are sealed before leaving the factory.

What is the fireplace mantel made of?
Each mantel is made of real crushed stone and silica.  This is a labor intensive process, but it's worth it as the finished mantel is so similar to cut stone it's hard to tell the difference, and the weight is a fraction of cut stone.  Cast Stone is a non-combustible product and can be used directly next to the firebox opening.  This eliminates the need and cost of other interior surrounds that are required with a wood or plaster mantel.

Do you do custom work?

Are there different colors?
We carry six colors, Natural, Limestone, Buff and Taupe, in a Cast finish, and Chocolate and Sahara Veined, in a Polished (Honed) finish. Some models are also available in paintable white plaster. Browse each collection to see which mantels are available in which finish.   

What can be done if the firebox opening does not fit your situation?
If the fireplace mantel you desire does not appear to fit our specifications, call us. Often we are able to alter the mantel in such a manner that we retain the integrity of the design while fitting your individual needs. We can also adapt overmantels to go with any of our designs.

What is the lead time for my mantel?
The Grand Stock Series ships in 1 to 2 business day. Seamless ships in 3 to 5 business day, and one to two weeks for the Steel Mill Collection.  Please contact us regarding rush orders, and we will do our best to accomodate you.

How is the fireplace mantel delivered?
Our products are shipped by a white glove carrier to anywhere in the continental United States and Canada.  If you are not ready for shipment from our factory at the date specified on your invoice, we can hold your order up to four weeks, provided the order is paid in full.

Is there a warranty?
Yes. Sticks N' Stones products are warranted to be free from defect, except those color variations and surface texture typical to Cast Stone. Any defective products will be replaced.
